From Tirmah Interiors to Tirmah Carpets
The story of Tirmah began in 2010, when Mr. Abid Javed founded Tirmah Interiors in South Africa. Driven by a deep passion for carpets, furniture, lighting, accessories, and the timeless artistry of handmade oriental rugs, Abid set out to create a company built on quality, authenticity, craftsmanship, and personal service.
What began as a passion for beautifully crafted interiors grew into a trusted business with showrooms in Cape Town and Mbombela (Nelspruit), South Africa. Over the years, Tirmah Interiors has developed a distinctive collection of hand-knotted carpets, hand-woven Kilims, furniture, and carefully selected interior pieces sourced from some of the world's most respected craft traditions.

We also carefully source and select Persian carpets directly from Iran, choosing pieces based on their quality, design, craftsmanship, and character. Our goal is to offer collections that reflect the true beauty and individuality of handmade carpets.
